 The 2008 Season of Concerts on the Green is Coming Your Way!
This year we are bringing back your favorites, as Concerts on the Green takes on a revival of all the great bands that have played in the past. As well as a few new bands that are sure to get you up and dancing. We have been listening to you, the attendees, and have been compiling a list of all the bands that you know and love to bring back to Concerts on the Green. Get ready to hear Sue Palmer, Theo & the Zydeco Patrol, Breez’n, and more. Stars on the Water, The Stiletto’s and The Hayriders include some of the new bands to be performing, and we know you will happily welcome them to Downtown El Cajon. The entire schedule is booked so don’t miss one evening of Concerts on the Green, as the 2008 season kicks off on May 23, 2008!

The Return of Concerts on the Green’s original M.C.
 And just when you thought it was going to be another relaxing and tranquil season of concerts in Downtown El Cajon, you’re shaken up by somebody with unforgettable energy and a friendly spirit…
Get ready for the return of Concerts on the Green’s original M.C., Ed Waymire! Ed was the first regular M.C. the concerts had, starting back in 2001. He continued to M.C. the concerts on a weekly basis until 2005, when his schedule conflicted with the concerts, and he unfortunately had to give up his M.C. duties, with the exception of occasional guest appearances. Now Ed will be back every week in 2008! He is no stranger to Downtown El Cajon, as he is a past promotion committee chair, past board member, and past chairman of the board for the El Cajon CDC. We welcome Ed Waymire’s return to Concerts on the Green, as we know all of you do as well.
